Edgar Allan Poe I Racconti del Mistero

I’ll quickly respond to your criticisms, which I largely find unfounded and somewhat childish, but that’s how it is. Let me remind you that if you don’t like audiobooks, you can simply choose not to listen to them. I’d like to point out that in Anglo-Saxon countries, audiobooks have a huge tradition for various reasons. There are products for the visually impaired and those for people who prefer to have a story told to them. After all, books came very late, and for centuries stories were passed down orally. In this specific case, we are talking about unique audiobooks, dramatized and made dynamic for listening, especially designed for those who spend a lot of time in cars and have little time to read, or who have grown tired of the radio or listening to music. That’s all there is to it. Then the choice to dramatize a work is indeed a choice: I can read A Clockwork Orange, but I can also watch the film. In both cases, they are two masterpieces; you may prefer one version over the other, but they are two different things. That’s all there is to it. If you don’t like them, as mentioned above, don’t listen to them, but all these preachy principles are a bit exaggerated, come on… I’ll leave the link to the book trailer, so perhaps one can get a more precise idea of what it’s about (even though there’s a preview on the publisher's site).
Herman Melville Moby Dick
Voto:
A highly difficult and beautiful book. It could be defined as one of the foundational texts of modern culture, given the numerous levels of interpretation and layered meanings.
Alessandro Manzoni I promessi sposi

I gave you a 2 for charm (are you a living fake?), as for the rest, let's just forget it.
Clyde Geronimi, Wilfred Jackson, Hamilton Luske Alice nel Paese delle Meraviglie
Voto:
Acidic and beautiful: you can't help but love Alice.
J.R.R. Tolkien Il Signore degli Anelli
Voto:
A masterpiece for many but not for all, as seems quite evident from the review in question. Perhaps sometimes it would be wise to have the modesty and maturity to remain silent when one is unable to grasp the true greatness of a work of art.
Marcello Cesena Il Cosmo Sul Comò
Voto:
mediocre film.
Steve Vai Passion and Warfare
Voto:
A very important album, as well as beautiful. Undoubtedly the most musical among Vai's records.
Guy Hamilton Agente 007 - Missione Goldfinger
Voto:
Perhaps the most aesthetic (and aesthete of all) 007.
ABBA Super Trouper
Voto:
Great album.
Frank Miller 300
Voto:
Definitely overrated. And I agree with those who wrote earlier that the recently published omnibus on Miller's Devil gathers the best of the American author.
