Being second to Hatebreeder isn't a bad thing, quite the opposite...
I must say I disagree with you; the most beautiful song on the album is track three, "if you want peace...prepare for war." The guitar rhythms are tightly packed and very elaborate, the drumming is powerful and never mundane (unlike most of the album). In short, we're a mile away from the now almost vanished power metal matrix, occasionally referenced during the solos and harmonized sections.
What's the story behind the album title?

Even though I think you didn't get the purpose of this bunch of clowns called children of bodom... their style is a mix of foolishness combined with pure rawness, loaded with technical prowess and a touch of pseudo-baroque taste.
They are awesome, and this album is yet another proof of that; second only to hatebreeder, it’s actually a more 'true' album than the others: fewer pseudo-classical/Malmsteen-like parts but more substance. Live (where the more technical parts are performed anything but faithfully by the five Finns), it’ll hit harder and more decisively. And if you see some Nu metal in this... go tell that to alexi lahio; I don’t think he would take it too well.

the album ok it’s well-known that it’s crap and moreover the most annoying thing is proposing the same pieces translated into Italian.
the review is a mess… put more effort into it, you could roast them so much more.
