Paul Thomas Anderson: Boogie Nights
DVD Video I have it ★★★★
A burst of sounds and colors for a reinterpretation of Holmes' story masterfully directed by the only true "spiritual" heir of New Hollywood. Scorsesean in rhythm and editing, "Coppola-esque" in its staging, it’s a film that, although it drags on a bit, would have fit perfectly in the seventies. (8)
