yes: Talk
CD Audio I have it ★★★
Cute, but nothing worth remembering. (6.5)
Yes: Fly from here
CD Audio I have it ★★★
A sufficient return. The absence of Anderson isn't felt too strongly, but it's the album as a whole that never fully takes off. Perhaps it's time to say enough. The years are starting to show. (6.5)
Yes: Time And A Word
CD Audio I have it ★★★
As far as I'm concerned, it's one of the band's least successful albums. Too flat, lacking in particular insights. 6

Overall, I agree, even preferring certain aspects of the debut album. It's a somewhat messy album, with good ideas that are a bit poorly executed. Yes, I’d give it a 6 - 6.5 rating.
Yes: Tales From Topographic Oceans
CD Audio I have it ★★★
Yes in love with themselves = Tales from Topographic Oceans. A monumental work, too self-indulgent to be fully appreciated. It's the album that sooner or later every prog rock band pulls out, but in this case, I feel the London band has gone overboard, delivering an unsustainable work in terms of length and digestibility. And to think that there are interesting ideas as well. 6.5
Yes: Going For The One
CD Audio I have it ★★★★
Another noteworthy work for Yes, even if we are not at the levels of the previous "Relayer." Interesting tracks like "Turn of the Century" and the concluding "Awaken" stand out from the rest of the album. An album that opens the band's more "metallic" phase, distancing itself from the jazz/folk atmospheres of "Relayer." (8)
Yes: Tormato
CD Audio I have it ★★★
Transition album, after an initial phase of their career in which the band had fairly clear ideas. A few interesting tracks ("Madrigal," "Release, release," "Onward") while the rest is conventional rock that doesn't suit the London combo. (7)
Yes: Drama
CD Audio I have it ★★★★
Despite Anderson's departure, in "Drama" the Yes machine seems unaffected by the lineup change, delivering a mature, multifaceted work rich in quality. "Machine Messiah" is the highlight of the album, a track to remember. (8)
Yes: Big Generator
CD Audio I have it ★★★
The same argument applies to "90125": it’s a rock album that’s a bit outside their usual style, an easy-listening approach that doesn’t quite fit the technical characteristics of the band members. It’s more convincing than its predecessor, but it’s still a "minor work." (7)
Yes: 90125
CD Audio I have it ★★★
Anderson returns, but the decisive shift towards a "polished" rock heavily influenced by AOR makes it one of the least successful albums from the Londoners. It is saved by the innate talent of the musicians, yet it is clear that this is a work (and a genre) that doesn’t fully belong to them. (6.5)

but it remains an album that is very enjoyable to listen to and never trivial, right?

in any case better than the next, despite what is written in a "posterior" definition (deliberately said so to mean that it is a definition - that one - made with the ass)

You know, hacker, there is subjectivity in judgments, and what I say about these albums is my opinion, it’s not the divine law. For me, this is an easygoing pop-rock album with very few ideas, while the next one at least tries to merge the old prog spirit with the pop rock of the time. De gustibus.
Yes: Open Your Eyes
CD Audio I have it ★★★
Alongside "Times and Word," their least successful work. (6)
Yes: The Ladder
CD Audio I have it ★★★
A good job. The first Yes briefly re-emerges. (7)
Yes: Magnification
CD Audio I have it ★★★★
Beautiful, inspired, very dreamy in some parts ("Dreamtime" and "In the presence of"). A pity about some lengthiness, but ultimately it’s an album that is enjoyable to listen to, also thanks to the variety brought by the orchestra. (7.5)

It doesn't drive me crazy... DeGustibus.
Yes: Yes
CD Audio I have it ★★★★
A really well-made debut album. Some tracks are remarkable ("Looking around" and "Every little thing" above all), even if there are some basic shortcomings that will fade away with time and the arrival of experience. For bands like Queen and Rush, this was an "inspiring" record.

I have always been a fan of them, yet I am not as enthusiastic about their debut. However, as someone once said, you never forget the first album!!

P.S.: For me, it's "Beyond" and "Survival" above all.

I agree with the excellent judgment; I would also add "I see you" to the overall positivity.
Yes: The Yes Album
CD Audio I have it ★★★★
A much more convincing album than its predecessor. It's the first true work by Yes that can actually be defined as prog rock. Inspired instrumental parts, grandiloquent but well-measured compositions: some stretches, but it is definitely the best CD among the first 3 produced by the band. 8
Yes: Fragile
CD Audio I have it ★★★★★
Magnificent album, one of the best of their career. The only downside is represented by some tracks with reduced length that break up the flow of the CD too much. Otherwise, we are at very high levels. 8.5
Yes: Close To The Edge
CD Audio I have it ★★★★★
We are at the level of "Fragile," maybe just a tad better. The title track and "And You and I" are something spectacular, while "Siberian Khatru" is at a slightly lower level. A formidable example of seventies progressive rock. 8.5
Yes: Relayer
CD Audio I have it ★★★★★
Londoners indulge in a truly excellent prog/space sound with touches of psychedelia. A mature, complex, varied work, yet at the same time not pretentious like "Tales from topographic oceans". For me, it’s slightly superior even to "Fragile" and "Close to the edge". (8.5)

Alright. I like Moraz as much as, if not more than, Wakeman.
