Burial: Untrue
CD Audio I have it ★★★★
A true surprise! Great album, very unique sounds, and then there’s that incredible track, perhaps the best or among the best of the last decade, that heavenly gift called "archangel". 4.5!
Candlemass: Nightfall
CD Audio I have it ★★★★★
In my opinion, the best of Candlemass, with the outstanding vocal performance by Marcolin. Beautiful!
The Candlemass of the '80s are a tremendous band, for many the true founders of doom, or rather those who defined its sounds and themes. A historical cornerstone!
Cannibal Ox: The Cold Vein

Negrophuture!!!
Carcass: Heartwork
CD Audio I have it ★★★★★
this is also a historic album for Swedish melodic death metal. The riff of the title track is outstanding. The billions of clones that followed have not been able to replicate the genuine style of heartwork at all.
The masterpiece of Carcass! A sprinkle of grind and on top of that add a death with a thousand tempo changes. Unfortunately, this description cannot convey the beauty of this album in the slightest! A colossus of extreme metal!
Converge: Jane Doe
CD Audio I have it ★★★★
An engaging and intense album in many of its parts, as only this genre can be!
Creed: Human Clay
CD Audio I have it
There are plenty of nice songs, but maybe a bit too laid-back in some parts; I prefer the following, which is more personal and varied!
Creed: weathered
CD Audio I have it ★★★★
This is a great album! Heterogeneous: it ranges from powerful tracks on the edge of metal to beautiful ballads. Detractors need to explain to me how they are similar to Pearl Jam; the resemblance for me lies only in the singer's voice. Period.
Many historical tracks for an album that takes us back to an era that no longer exists! "Long time gone," "Marrakesh express," "Wooden ships" are the best tracks, but everything is of high quality.
Cynic: Focus
CD Audio I have it ★★★★
crazy and definitely ahead of its time. A certainly historic album in the genre and among the first to combine jazz, fusion, electronics, filtered voices, and death, although perhaps a bit overrated. Avant-garde!
Darkthrone: Transilvanian Hunger
CD Audio I have it ★★★★★
Masterpiece with an incredible atmosphere: minimal, dark, mysterious, one of the highest peaks of the genre. An album whose depth has rarely been matched by other black metal bands!
certainly among the best representatives of black metal. A historic album in the genre, featuring some of the most beautiful pieces that black metal has ever given us.

beautiful, indeed very beautiful, certainly there are some plastic sounds that will be the trademark of the not-so-genius Bowie of the ’80s, but here in many tracks we’re still at high levels and Robert Fripp’s guitar in some pieces (like the title track) is phenomenal.
David Bowie: Hunky Dory
CD Audio I have it ★★★★★
The glam of Ziggy Stardust is in its infancy, yet the album is stunning and contains several Bowie classics!

Along with Ziggy and Heroes, this is my favorite Bowie record. In fact, in terms of production and variety, this version of Ziggy may be less epic than the previous album, but not lesser in the value of the songs. The incredible title track (featuring a great piano), the stunning "cracked actor" (one of my absolute favorite rock pieces), are just a few of the many masterpieces found within a decadent yet extraordinary album.
David Bowie: Young Americans

David Bowie: Heroes
CD Audio I have it ★★★★★
One of Bowie's masterpieces, perfect in both the songs and the instrumentals!
David Bowie: Lodger

At first listens, this CD didn't excite me, perhaps because it feels too decadent compared to the previous albums and serves as a transition; however, in the end, it’s the usual masterpiece from Bowie, just for me, less thrilling than Ziggy or Heroes, to give two examples.
great work through which I got to know this artist. Great lyrics, great music, for one of the most important concepts of the 70s. What more could you want?
Death: Symbolic
CD Audio I have it ★★★★
Death Angel: The Ultra-Violence
CD Audio I have it ★★★★
Technically very valid and unique for the genre they propose (thrash). Truly a great album, absolutely not inferior to the recognized masterpieces of the genre (Metallica, Slayer, etc.).
Deep Purple: Made In Japan
CD Audio I have it ★★★★★
I generally don't like live performances, but this one is of monstrous beauty. Great feeling and great compositions that have become part of the history of modern music!
For those who love pogoing and constantly banging their heads, this album is definitely made for them! Carini
Dimmu Borgir: Enthrone Darkness Triumphant
CD Audio I have it ★★★★★
beautiful beautiful, definitely among the leading exponents of symphonic black. An album with several gems and an enviable compositional freshness. Too bad they might become a bit too pompous in the future!
Dimmu Borgir: Spiritual Black Dimensions
CD Audio I have it ★★★★
Not as good as the previous work (Enthrone...), but many tracks are really great. With this album, Dimmu Borgir enhance their symphonic side, and the aggression decreases, but not entirely!
Dinosaur Jr.: You're Living All Over Me
CD Audio I have it ★★★★
very beautiful. I have to say that for several years I've had a love-hate relationship with this album because it’s hard for someone coming from, let’s say, extreme sounds to fully embrace a band that alternates powerful riffs with a "whiny-indie" voice (now I would say in the style of Neil Young). It’s a CD that, despite some tracks driving me crazy from the very start, didn’t quite convince me completely; now it’s different, perhaps not an absolute masterpiece, but a beautiful album!
Beautiful disc, influenced by Rage Against, but still with a sound that makes them easily distinguishable. Engaging and captivating! With the first track "empower" I’ve moshed countless times!
Elliott Smith: XO

Elliott Smith: Either/Or

A genius!
Emperor: In the nightside eclipse
CD Audio I have it ★★★★★
the pure norwegian black metal album by emperor. The highest point of the genre alongside transylvanian hunger by darkthrone. The nihilism, despair, and malice that this album emits are cathartic experiences that must be tried absolutely!
Emperor: IX Equilibrium
CD Audio I have it ★★★★
With this album, Emperor begin to move away from black metal, adding death metal influences to their ferocious and symphonic black sound. The brilliance remains, and Ihsahn's clean vocals reach their highest expressive and theatrical peak here!
A very experimental album; we can no longer talk about black metal, although here and there some traces of it remain. A beautiful album as usual, perhaps lacking the atmosphere of the previous ones, but the genius (that extra something that distinguishes the Emperor from the rest of the black crowd) is still there!
Emperor: Anthems to the Welkin at Dusk
CD Audio I have it ★★★★★
What a delight this album is! I love it! Chaotic, barbaric compositions that seem to testify to a barbarian horde destroying everything in its path. Some passages are hair-raising. Symphonic, extreme, theatrical!
Entombed: Uprising
CD Audio I have it
Here we can talk more about a rock-death hardcore, truly enjoyable!
Entombed: Left Hand Path
CD Audio I have it
Nothing transcendental, but definitely a very important record in the death genre! Let's say that these sonorities don't drive me crazy, but I find this band likable!
Ephel Duath: The Painter's Palette
CD Audio I have it ★★★★★
Genius, crazy, masterpiece! An album that surprised me a lot: metal-jazz-grind-blackmetal-fusion, in a blend that works perfectly. A must-listen multiple times.
beautiful! Here the histrionic Mike Patton gives us his best performance, combining all sorts of things with his voice.
