One of the few albums from the so-called Djent movement that is truly worthy of attention. No instrumental wankery, elegant atmospheres, well-structured riffing. Light-years away from the syncopated rhythms of Meshuggah, Gru have the merit of managing to remain engaging and sounding original and easily accessible. And when you consider that the album is entirely composed by someone who is just a bit more than a kid...
