One of the few albums from the so-called Djent movement that is truly worthy of attention. No instrumental wankery, elegant atmospheres, well-structured riffing. Light-years away from the syncopated rhythms of Meshuggah, Gru have the merit of managing to remain engaging and sounding original and easily accessible.
