this is a masterpiece. In the true sense of the word: an excellent work, that is, superior to others of its kind. Understood not as an absolute because we acknowledge the contemporary coexistence of multiple masterpieces.

I admit. The sentence is quite convoluted. The idea is to not grant absolute primacy that is useless. One goes to the museum to see many works, not just one. Sometimes I end up getting myself all tangled up.
