Yes: Close To The Edge
Vinile I have it ★★★★★
Peaks of emotion of the highest caliber and frequency... A beloved album from the very first listens. Musically sublime and accompanied by imaginative lyrics, in perfect Yes style. I’ll just add that the section of the title track "I Get Up, I Get Down" is worth 5 on its own.

As a kid, I had a little crush on you (yes, it's true!!!!)... then for a long time, I feared that someone would discover where I had buried it... I had a reputation, damn it!!!... but one of these days I might even bring it back up, since the bad punks are no longer around... but I still have my reputation... so what do I do if, just in case, I were to like it again?... better not to take the risk...

    Quite a blunt attitude... :)

But the album is not heavy or excessive at all; rather, the part of the suite that refers to Kotatsu is mystical and sublime beauty. Wakeman rarely strays off course, and being an extraordinary musician, when "well-tuned," he has always produced fabulous things, like here. Bruford is a god, rightly about to transition to the court of the King. I'm undecided; I don't know whether to prefer this or the more "rough and ready" Yes Album. Goodness, of course, there’s also a certain "Fragile"...
