ZZ Top: Tres Hombres
CD Audio I have it ★★★★★
Their peak for sure... Citing "La Grange" as the best track on the album (and perhaps of their career) is a must, but other songs like "Jesus Just Left Chicago," "Precious And Grace," etc., also justify the purchase of the record...

Sure, but the real masterpiece is "Pavel Hits Moreno Again." Jokes aside, great stuff, even though I've never been a fan; excellent listening and maximum respect. Unlike some of your "proteges" like Kiss, Motley Crue, GunziRozzi, etc. :D

Great album of Texas blues. When beards were still short...

"Protected" what a big word!! Just because someone doesn't like a band doesn’t mean they necessarily suck, right? Then again, maybe I would use the word protected for the "Kiss" because they were one of the first bands that got me into this kind of music, the first ones I saw live, etc., so I do get a bit mad when someone talks badly about them, especially since to criticize a band that has released more than 20 albums (some of which are crap, I must say), you really need to know everything, not just one randomly listened-to album... As for the "Motley" and "Guns" though, I wouldn’t use that word... I like them, just like I like a bunch of other bands, but I wouldn’t put them on the list of “bands of my life”...
But the fact remains that I like them, and I don’t care much about other people's opinions, because in the end, it’s about whether I like them or not :D ?? And anyway, "Pavel Hits Moreno Again" remains unbeatable for everyone :DDD

In fact, it was in quotes. "Just because someone doesn't like a band doesn’t mean they necessarily suck, okay?!" In fact, I think they suck, and I don’t respect them at all :D I know all the Kiss albums up to the mid-'80s, my dear; sure, I haven't listened to them in a while, but that's obvious. Some of those from the '70s don’t bother me at all, but still, they don't drive me crazy either. As for the other two, I won't budge—pure crap, but that's just my opinion; I don't think I need to specify that every time. "Pavel Hits Moreno Again" is one of those songs that marks your life... and your ankle.

But I'm also fine with the fact that you hate "Kiss," "Motley," and "Guns," no problem... Taste is taste... Some people dislike "Led Zeppelin," "Black Sabbath," and "The Rolling Stones," so I'm not surprised... Maybe you try to reason with someone, but if you think they suck, I respect that! I mean, in the end, everyone is free to listen to whatever they want and judge "crap" or "chocolate" as they see fit... But if I may say so, I find it strange that "Appetite" disgusts you... I can understand the general dislike for "Motley," but I just don't get "Appetite"... Also, because as I wrote on the page "pavel hits moreno again," you "know your stuff," so I'm quite surprised...

Indeed, I don't understand, Appetite is cool.
ZZ TOP: ZZ TOP'S FIRST ALBUM
CD Audio I have it ★★★
A very good debut, this "First Album" by ZZ Top... Sure, not all the tracks shine with originality, but the final result is more than commendable...

Great debut, but they improve even more in Rio Grande Mud. Still, from '70 to '79, all excellent works; Eliminator is still good but already too high-tech for my taste. Great chicks in the videos on MTV though...

Rio Grande Mud shows a more mature band for sure.... Then I agree, up to Deguello it's great, but El Loco isn't bad either...
ZZ Top: Fandango!
CD Audio I have it ★★★★★
An album that alternates between live tracks and studio recordings, resulting in an excellent final product... An album that nearly reaches perfection, so by default I give it 5, but there's little difference between 4 stars and 5! This record is among the best in their discography! Long live ZZ Top!

Tush is something incredible, soon to be on my playlist. An album of excellent quality, in my opinion it ranks on the podium with Tres Hombres (predictable, but it's their best) and Rio Grande Mud. Have you ever listened to Tejas? Anyway, great band at least until Deguello, then the beards grew too long, too many synthesizers and too much MTV for my taste. Back to Tush, it was one of the first riffs I learned on guitar, it always gives me a great rush of adrenaline, even though there are many other great songs on this album...

Tush is probably, along with "La Grange" and "Sharp Dressed Man," the best track from the bearded ones... Yes, I’ve listened to Tejas (which unfortunately is still not in my collection) and it definitely deserves it, as you rightly mentioned... After too many synthesizers, certainly Hell, but a couple of good albums like Antenna and Rhythmeen (not to mention Eliminator) still came out even during that period!
