Van Halen: Women And Children First
CD Audio I have it ★★★
They have released definitely better albums, but here we also find noteworthy tracks like "Everybody Wants Some!!," "Fools," "Romeo Delight," "Take Your Whiskey Home"...

I agree with you, it's a more than decent album, but far from the freshness of the first two. And to think that I've always read from various sources that it's considered their best album, I've never understood why...

Their best?? Who are these "crazy" people :D??

Rolling Stone, Classic Rock... that's why I haven't read them in years :DDD
Van Halen: 1984

Last album with D.L. Roth before the temporary separation (which lasted quite a while)... The band’s sound lightens up a bit, giving birth to an album with "Hair" nuances. Included are famous tracks from the band like the stunning "Hot for Teacher," "Jump," "Panama"...

I prefer the first two from the band; this is, if we want to be precise, their most famous album, especially for the hits "Jump" and "Panama," but it's already too filled with '80s effects for my taste. Still, it’s a really good album, the beginning of the end for them...

I don't agree when you say the beginning of the end... With Hagar they released acceptable albums... 5150, FUCK, and Balance are great albums (the latter is hugely underrated in my opinion)...

Hagar has a tremendous voice and is also an excellent guitarist, but I have never liked him; it's just a matter of personal taste, anyway.

Eddie was also doing excellently with the keyboards.

If Eddie were given the triangle to play, he would put on quite a show ;-DD
Van Halen: Van Halen

Amazing debut album by Van Halen... The peaks reached in this record will never be replicated by the band, despite always releasing great albums (except Diver Down)... What more can be said about the record... Pure Hard Rock played as it should be...
Van Halen: Van Halen II
CD Audio I have it ★★★★
A little over half an hour of great Hard Rock... It doesn't reach the heights of the debut, but overall it's a great album!! (I notice that the site has put the definition for Van Halen III, even though I clicked on Van Halen II)

Replacing a charismatic vocalist like D.L. Roth was not easy, and the band rightly played it safe by opting for Hagar (who was already quite well-known at the time). The album comes across as tougher compared to its predecessor, which had embraced softer sounds... "Dreams" remains in my top five of their most beautiful tracks!
