Blue Öyster Cult: Secret Treaties
CD Audio I have it ★★★★★
Personally, I consider it their masterpiece, not that "Tyranny" is lacking, just like the self-titled album which I adore... But this one has that something extra that I can't explain! From "Career of Evil" to "Astronomy," passing through "ME 262" and "Dominance and Submission," not to mention "Flaming Telepaths," it's hard to choose a specific track among such beauty! Spectacular!!
Blue Öyster Cult: Blue Öyster Cult
CD Audio I have it ★★★★★
Probably overshadowed by the two masterpieces released later, the debut of Blue Oyster Cult is a sublime album that, nonetheless, does not feel diminished when compared to the two mentioned records; on the contrary.....
Bon Jovi: Slippery When Wet
CD Audio I have it ★★★★★
When Rock kisses Pop, no one has ever done it so well!!

It's a wonder ... very original, profound and ruokk..
Bon Jovi: New Jersey
CD Audio I have it ★★★★
Say what you want, but Bon Jovi released great albums up until "These Days" (1995), or at least listenable records! "New Jersey" is, in my opinion, the best of the group, even better than "Slippery When Wet," which is also a fantastic album!! Listening to a band without prejudice and without hearing the opinions of "music experts" can sometimes be useful, because you can judge a band calmly!!
Bon Jovi: Keep The Faith
CD Audio I have it ★★★★★
There are no "Livin on a Prayer" or "Born to be my Baby" that hold a candle... The best track by Bon Jovi is on this album and it's "Dry County", their "Stairway To Heaven" (of course, with all due proportions). (4.5)
chickenfoot: chickenfoot
CD Audio I have it ★★★
Pleasant album, but from artists of the caliber of Joe Satriani, Sammy Hagar, Chad Smith, and Michael Anthony, one would expect better.
Cinderella: Still Climbing
CD Audio I have it ★★★★★
Unjustly overlooked, unjustly dismissed... A great album that unfortunately marked the end of the band (even though they still hold on in live performances)... 4 albums for Cinderella and 4 gems. Give this Still Climbing a listen, you won't regret it...

Yeah, but what a crappy name, though. You can’t call a hard rock band Cinderella, it’s just not credible. Come on, think if Led Zeppelin had called themselves Mickey Mouse, who the hell would care about them?
  • Aquarius27

They took their name from a porn movie...
Cinderella: Long Cold Winter
CD Audio I have it ★★★★★
Ah the "Cinderella," one of my first musical loves... A band far too underrated, just listen to their second record, this "Long Cold Winter." A gem of Heavy Metal... Yes, because Cinderella are not glam, as everyone thinks. An album of unique, exquisite beauty, indeed a MASTERPIECE... Tom Keifer is one of the most complete artists to have ever set foot on the face of the earth!!!
Cinderella: Heartbreak Station
CD Audio I have it ★★★★
But how great were Cinderella?? Blues, Hard Rock, Country rock like in this case... They showcased multiple genres without ever missing a beat! For me, the most underrated band of all time!! (4.5)
Cream: Disraeli Gears
CD Audio I have it ★★★★★
"Clapton è Dio"
Creedence Clearwater Revival: Cosmo's Factory
CD Audio I have it ★★★★★
So much stuff...
Creedence Clearwater Revival: Green River
CD Audio I have it ★★★★★
This is one of those albums that I would definitely take with me to a deserted island...
Deep Purple: Perfect Strangers
CD Audio I have it ★★★★★
For me, after "In Rock" and "Machine Head" (not counting Made in Japan), this is it!

I would definitely put Burn first. A great album of rebirth, unfortunately never again at these levels in the subsequent works...

Well, it's a matter of taste! Burn or Perfect, the choice inevitably falls on these two!

Deep Purple: Purpendicular
CD Audio I have it ★★★★
The latest noteworthy album from the band! Great tracks, with "Sometimes I Feel Like Screamin" standing out above all.
Deep Purple: Fireball
CD Audio I have it ★★★★
Clearly, it's not easy to follow up a masterpiece like "In Rock"... But "Fireball" is still a fantastic album anyway...
Deep Purple: Machine Head
CD Audio I have it ★★★★★
This record is terrifying from the Deep Purple.... It contains what is probably the most famous Rock song of all time (at least the riff is the most famous), but for me it’s not the most beautiful song that the Deep have written (I’m obviously talking about Smoke), and even less is it the most beautiful on the album.... Highway Star and Pictures Of Home are tracks that never get boring!!
  • hellraiser

When I bought it years ago, I thought it was a The Best of because all the tracks are of such a high level... a gem of rock, History.

The album that, among the various gems, contains the most famous riff in rock history. The extraordinary thing is that In Rock is even superior to it...
  • Aquarius27

In Rock is superior to 98% of records in general... At least for me...

Great album but it's not among my favorites, like Deep Purple by the way; I like them but they don't spark that definitive thrill. Excluding (in the studio) "In Rock," for me it's their only masterpiece. Oh, in case you missed the introduction, this is still a great album, wish we had more like this.
  • Renagade
    29 mar 15
This album was also liked by Lester Bangs, who surely appreciated the DP more than Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath. You can still find the review he wrote for Rolling Stone online at that time.
  • R13569920

It's miraculous the sound they managed to achieve by recording the guitar in the living room and the drums more or less in the bathroom. Not even if they tried again for a thousand years.

bought in Intra on the day it was released in Italy!
Deep Purple: Burn
CD Audio I have it ★★★★★
Everyone is talking about the "Title track" as the best song on the album (which is totally understandable), but can we talk about "Mistreated"?? A terrifying Blues, with a stunning Coverdale!!
  • hjhhjij
    8 sep 15
Nice this. I'm not crazily in love with them (except maybe "In Rock") but they definitely put out some cool albums.
  • don't say anything, Mistreated (and in particular the California Jamming version) is one of the peaks of the Purple.

everyone who? I haven't talked about the dippàrpo for years, and fortunately, neither have my friends. rightfully so. let's not generalize, pliiiz.
  • Anyway, Glenn Hughes, although high as a kite, was making a fool of good old Coverdale.
  • This album, as far as I'm concerned, is a total delight. All of it is beautiful if you don't pay attention to a few mediocre lyrics (e.g., You Fool No One). Perfect, there are two completely different voices, both stunning, impossible to compare; the level achieved cannot be the measure of judgment.

The band's latest masterpiece, in my opinion. They've made other great ones, good ones, but none at this level anymore.
Deep Purple: Stormbringer
CD Audio I have it ★★★
Honest album, with some gems and a few underwhelming tracks...
  • bluesboy94
    7 mar 16
It's strange that the song I like the most ("Soldier of Fortune") by this band (which, by the way, I like very little) belongs to an album unanimously considered inferior...
  • Battlegods
    7 mar 16
Well, then the title track for sure...

"Burn" is undoubtedly the best of the Coverdale/Hughes era.
  • hellraiser
    9 mar 16
I give the album 4 stars, definitely below Burn but better than Come & Taste the Band. This album suffers from Blackmore's now tired phase, already with his mind elsewhere, but it remains an excellent work for me.
  • Aquarius27
    9 mar 16
Instead, I consider "Come..." to be superior (if only slightly)... I repeat, just by a hair, but still superior!
Deep Purple: Made In Japan
CD Audio I have it ★★★★★
Simply the story!!! That's all it takes to describe what is one of the best live performances (if not THE best) ever...
Deep purple: In Rock
CD Audio I have it ★★★★★
Deep Purple: The Battle Rages On...
CD Audio I have it ★★★★
An album I have always appreciated and considered among the peaks of the band. The title track (riff taken from Fire Dance by Rainbow) is an immense piece, "Solitarie" is a gem... But the best track (not only of the album but of the entire Deep Purple career) is undoubtedly "Anya," a song that literally drives me crazy every time... The rest of the album is excellent...
Def Leppard: Pyromania
CD Audio I have it ★★★★
"Gunter Glieben Glauchen Globen"
Def Leppard: Hysteria
CD Audio I have it ★★★★★
If out of 12 tracks at least 10 are potential hits, it means you've pulled a masterpiece out of the hat. "Hysteria" was exactly this!! A total of 7 singles were released from the album, incredible!! Tracks like "Animal," "Pour Some Sugar on Me," "Love Bites," and "Armageddon It" made the group’s fortune, which had already written memorable songs, but none at this level. In my opinion, the peak of their career is precisely the title track, an immense, unique piece, one of the most beautiful songs I have ever listened to!!

I've never been crazy about the musical genre of Def Leppard; however, this is a hell of an album that I haven't listened to in years. What better occasion to break this sort of fast.

A group that had the potential to kick ass, unfortunately, they too have stooped to chart rock.

disk... back then there was only that and the cassette... it rightfully entered history... setting aside the sales success... it’s really well made and not too overexposed. I still remember the Animal video on TV... for those times 1987-88... an event.

Extreme: Extreme
CD Audio I have it ★★★★★
I will be banal and obvious, but talking about this album, the only word that comes to mind is MASTERPIECE!
Extreme: III Sides to Every Story
CD Audio I have it ★★★★★
Another album from the Madonna of the Extreme! Despite its prohibitive length (76 minutes), the album doesn't tire you out; on the contrary, it is appreciated in all its nuances! Five big balloons!
Foo Fighters: Wasting Light
CD Audio I have it ★★★★
For me, their best work! I love "Walk" to bits... Stunning are the various "These Days," "Arlandria," "Rope" ... (4,5)
"Keep You In The Dark, You Know They All Pretend...
Keep You In The Dark And So It All Began..."
Foo Fighters: The Colour and the Shape
CD Audio I have it ★★★★
After a first effort that was great but not exceptional, Grohl pulls from the hat what many consider to be their most successful work. Inside, we find tracks like "Everlong" and "My Hero," but also the devastating "Monkey Wrench," "Hey, Johnny Park," "Enough Space," and all the other songs that deserve to be mentioned...
  • SilasLang
    19 nov 15
Instead, the first job, guess what, is in my opinion the coolest. The only one... Always in my opinion, though.
Foo Fighters: Foo Fighters
CD Audio I have it ★★★
The end of Nirvana coincided with the beginning of the Foo Fighters... Dave Grohl had been writing songs for years, but kept them to himself... He recorded the album completely on his own (except for the track X-Static played by Greg Dulli), and only after completing the recordings did he seek out members for the band... The best work would come later, but the album is very good and is a pleasure to listen to...

Grand Funk Railroad: E Pluribus Funk
CD Audio I have it ★★★★★
An album like this deserves to be listed among the greatest rock records in history!
Guns N' Roses: Use Your Illusion I
CD Audio I have it ★★★★
The first of the two "Illusion" albums is definitely (or at least for me) the less impressive one... Among the 16 tracks, "November Rain" obviously stands out. Several songs like "Bad Obsession," "Back Off Bitch," "Right Next Door To Hell," and others that I won't mention here are of high quality, but they will shine better with "II"...
Guns N' Roses: Use Your Illusion II
CD Audio I have it ★★★★★
This one gets a 5 from me... "Civil War," "You Could Be Mine," "So Fine," "Estranged," "Yesterdays," "Locomotive," "Breakdown," and especially "Pretty Tied Up"... I've mentioned enough, these should be enough!

Second round, second masterpiece! Inspired, heartfelt, and let those who have more add to it, but for me, it has a hint of less magic compared to the debut album! Still, it's an immense record...
Damn, I love this album...
