Megadeth: Rust In Peace

The highest peak they have ever reached. Quality, technique, imagination, power. Even today, it sounds great.

For the genre (which I've never been crazy about) it's a masterpiece.

I agree with hell. But having never loved the genre that much, it doesn't drive me crazy.

My favorite album by the band; you've said it all in just a few words. "Holy Wars...The Punishment Due" is a song that perfectly opens an album that I still enjoy listening to today.

From this masterpiece, many will take inspiration. Fortunately, only trash will emerge from it. This album is untouchable.

Praise and eternal honor to the Melvins... Well done, Rolando, excellent recommendation that I'll definitely listen to again tomorrow. Tasty cover that fits the season...

What an album... damn what an album!! Damn what a band! One of the bands of my life. Discovered in '94 seeing them live... when they opened for Nirvana at the Palaghiaccio. Until then, I only knew them by "fame"... It was love at first sight.

I remember the Milan date of the last Nirvana tour; during the Melvins' performance, there were just four of us, or a little more, in the pit. And a friend of mine even threw me over the crowd.

I bought the VHS in Milan... can you believe it? The setlist was the same as the one in Rome, if I remember correctly. The Melvins: just a little over an hour of infernal distortions. I was left speechless. We left from Alba Adriatica [TE] in the morning, 5 of us in a beat-up Fiat 127, a couple of bottles of wild turkey, some plegine, weed, and tabs of acid... it was one of those many otherworldly experiences. ps. Nirvana... Cobain was a shadow of his former self. Then he went into a coma... when I learned the news a couple of months later about his death, I wasn't surprised at all. Anyway... history.

In a few days we could create a personal ranking of the most intense and beautiful concerts we've both experienced, along with comments on what happened before, during, and after: there would be so many things to share, my dearest Silas!!!!

And yes...too bad I was out 24/7 back then... anyway, so many crazy memories. Respect!

Beautiful. Beautiful fuck. While it may not reach the unattainable peaks of albums like On The Corner or Live Evil... personally, I love Miles' electric period entirely.

"Big Fun" is part of the "Bitches Brew" experience and features people like Ron Carter, Herbie Hancock, Joe Zawinul, Billy Cobham, Chick Corea, Wayne Shorter, and John McLaughlin, I don't know if that's not much.

In fact, on the complete sessions of Bitches there are also these sessions in part.

Well, many were already valid before, he just threw them into an electric socket and that’s no small feat ;) This album came out in 1974 but it was all recorded between 1969 and 1972.

Every listening experience gets better. Almost a 5. Prog '70, space, psychedelia, odd times.
