Se non ti importasse quello che mi succede,
E a me non importasse di te,
Riempiremmo le nostre giornate di noia e dolore,
Guardando di tanto in tanto su per la pioggia.
Chiedendoci quale dei bastardi dare la colpa
E osservando i maiali in volo.
Never liked it to be honest.

This album does 2 laps on cold tires, to all the grunge that was around at the time.

But I would say even more than just two turns. The first notes of My name is mud...just on the titles of the songs, one could write a book; they make it clear once again that as a bassist Mr. Claypool, my cousin, is second to none. A decision NOT to be taken lightly... Now I’m hopping on the train and enjoying a hamburger to the sounds of......no need to continue.

Technique, genius, irony, imagination. So much quality.

I would add: unruly, not to be taken too seriously, unique, crazy, playful, carefree, acrobatic (Les), unlabelable, mystical, wise (in the choice of covers), perfect, likable, jokers (in their concert behavior)....for me the number one, two, three, four, five, six silly like very few others......I love you cousin Les, see you soon.

As I was saying DeMa, it's a matter of taste... I’ve listened to the album several times, struck by your beautiful review from some time ago. I consider them great from a technical standpoint (Les on bass is incredible, really), but they didn’t say anything to me, they didn't impress me at all... anyway, it's all a matter of taste, it's normal!

A matter of taste, I can only confirm your thesis. I discovered them by chance thanks to a review in Rumore by that musical mind named Claudio Sorge; at first, I was stunned and honestly did not feel an immediate love, let's hope Les never reads this sentence. Then, over time, they became the greatest.... after all, calling themselves PRIMUS... You can well imagine, dear Hell, my excitement when I managed to meet Les outside the Alcatraz in Milan just four years ago. I keep the photo with him with a fetishistic obsession.... Unforgettable.

Dearest hjhhji, given your endless musical knowledge, have you listened to the new project by Les called Duo de Twang? It should arrive in my eager and longing hands next week. It’s a duo project where the creators are engaged in a distinctly country-folk reimagining of pieces by Primus, including Jerry was...., and traditional American songs. Even before listening to it, I already consider it the album of 2014... can you believe it!!!!!!

Since my musical knowledge is far from being infinite, no, I don’t know the project, and I must say I’m not very interested in it either; I have too many other things for my ears right now :)

Great album, for sure. I own, and guard jealously, the original double vinyl that includes one extra track compared to the CD; even though my peak for the band remains Badmotorfinger, a true boulder of immense proportions!!!!

sigh...it's already been 20 years...one of the 5 big vinyls that I brought back home from the states in the summer of '94. Beautiful, no doubt about it. Even though personally, I find the cream of SG in the early rough masterpieces, from the EP 'Screaming Life' up to the best, 'Louder Than Love'...

I have never been a fan or even a deep connoisseur of Steve; I know the story of the tapes he sent at a young age to Frank Zappa, who was astonished by his already legendary technique. In any case, he was quite a guitarist, I would even say brilliant.

With Frank, he also did some live shows. This album deserves it.

Honestly, I find this unbearable, like almost everything Vai, even though I appreciate many of Satriani's works, I've never been able to digest him; it seems like he plays just for himself.
