Paul Kantner & Grace Slick: Sunfighter
Vinile I have it ★★★★
Underrated also because of the previous masterpiece, this album is a twilight and tormented post-psychedelic work, visionary and angry. The first track, Silver Spoon, rightfully belongs among the best works of Jefferson A. or S.; if all the songs had been at that level of inspiration, perhaps the final result would have even surpassed Blows... anyway, it's splendid. And a great cover as well.

Even as she grew up, she remained a cover of decent beauty, I would say. China, I mean.
The musical peak and the last ray of the hippie counterculture that began with the *summer of love*, and one of the high points of rock music in general.

great raiser, be careful because it’s different from the compositional immediacy of the "old" jefferson airplane, and I recommend listening to it with the lyrics in hand! :)

Beautiful, the most rock and gritty part of this genius, essential just like "The Silent Corner..."

And should we talk about the first and the last proto-punk track?
  • March Horses

Sure, I would also mention Open Your Eyes and Shingle Song, each more beautiful than the other.

Cita cita, here’s a lineup of tracks, each one more remarkable than the last (except maybe the rehashed People You Were Going to, but it hardly matters). A masterpiece.
Pink Floyd: A Saucerful Of Secrets

Pink Floyd: Relics
CD Audio I have it ★★★★★
An essential collection for the presence of rare or unreleased tracks that would be a shame to forget. Just "See Emily Play" is worth the (now outdated) price of the album. Pink Floyd could have (should have?) stopped here.

Beautiful. However, for me, the noteworthy unreleased tracks are mostly "Arnold Layne" and "Julia Dream."

I don't think they're unreleased, they were published as singles, right? But maybe I'm wrong, who knows. Anyway, sorry Mattì, but where do you want me to put See Emily Play?

A nail behind. Anyway, See Emily had also been released as a single, you know.

Pink Floyd: The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn

Well, it deserves all five stars, at least for its historical value.

    for phonetic value, right?
  • March Horses
    10 oct 12
for its phonetic value almost, even though there are some naïvetés, let’s admit it (for example "take thy stethoscope and walk" is muuuch inferior to the others, not surprisingly there's no Syd’s signature). It’s not perfect, but it’s still one of the masterpieces of the era, definitely on the podium of psychedelia.

Well, the guitar part of Take Uo is remarkable, even though the rest is definitely inferior to the others. Still, I believe the album contains at least 3 masterpieces: Astronomy Domine, Bike, and above all, Interstellar Overdrive.

For me, the best album released in '67
  • pana

Well, the competition was fierce (I won't dwell on listing the masterpieces released in '67 because I would never finish), but it's definitely in the running.
