A magical, beautiful record.
Martin Scorsese: L'Ultima Tentazione Di Cristo
CD Audio I have it ★★★★★
I found it for just a few euros and I didn't hesitate. A stunning film, with Defoe and Keitel in textbook performances and the soundtrack from the most inspired Peter Gabriel ever. Scorsese rules, one of his highest achievements in the '80s.

Ironically, I just got that masterpiece of a soundtrack...

Think that it's also the only one of his albums that I don't have. I have them all except for the most beautiful one, sob.

I found it easily... I was in a little record store at Piazza Nilo, about to grab "Firstborn is Dead" by Nicola Caverna, but as soon as I saw "Passion" I snatched it up without hesitation, leaving the aforementioned record on the shelf.

The complete work of a genius. 45 minutes of inspired Ambient. Exceptional.

Ambient? But it has nothing to do with ambient :-) However, it is undoubtedly a masterpiece, just like the next two.

    I know, but I don't care. :) I've always felt this inside.

I recently got the personally remixed CD from 2009 (it costs very little at Feltrinelli), and I had fun noticing certain changes in the headphones. However, they could have kept those wonderful drums in the first part, and that’s just one of the details I noticed. My old vinyl from '73 is unbeatable.

I have this on vinyl too, the '73 pressing, and it still remains my favorite version. However, from his initial trilogy, I prefer the other two, "Ommadawn" in particular.

    "Ommadawn" is incredible.

The CD version is very nice as well, featuring not only "Ommadawn" but other pretty good tracks too.

    Well yes, I have that.

What can I say, a fundamental work of 20th-century music. With Mike, the term genius can be used without hesitation. The '70s are exceptional, including the bizarre 45s. The '80s are partly at a good level. I recommend the Deluxe edition of "Incantations," perhaps a masterpiece of our never too analyzed and remembered.

Museo Rosenbach: Zarathustra

A magnificent concept album based on the works of Nietzsche (by the way, one of my favorite philosophers), an incredibly inspired suite and the other three tracks are also very beautiful. A masterpiece album. Only those who haven't understood a damn thing about this record can say that they were Fascists.

The artwork infuriated that fringe of counterculture and also certain printed media. Provocation or not, the band had a short life, little opportunity to perform; after all, you either stayed in that scene or you didn’t go beyond the first album (Il Balletto di YS is the most important case). For me, it remains one of the best Italian records of the period.

I share both. One of my favorite made in Italy albums, beautiful.

I've always thought so... Italian prog/rock, although not as prolific as the English, has produced excellent bands and albums...

But let me get this straight, if they had been fascists?????????
    Wouldn't it sound the same??????

But who cares, what matters is how the record sounds, not the political ideas of those who make it.
