Kevin Ayers: Joy Of A Toy
CD Audio I have it ★★★★
Delicious folk-pop-psychedelic mess from a little genius from Canterbury. 8.

The whole album is beautiful in its surreal nature (it's a shame you didn't appreciate it enough to give it the 5 rightful "balls"), but what really drives me crazy is especially "Town Feeling"!

For me 5 pallozze....maybe it's one of my favorite albums of all time.

Anyway, 4 balls is quite a score, huh? :)

    Wonderful...
King Crimson: Discipline
CD Audio I have it ★★★★★
New Wave masterpiece. After the golden triad of 1973-1974 (the albums by the Fripp-Wetton-Bruford lineup, to be clear), this is my favorite from King Crimson. The triad “Indiscipline”-“Discipline”-“The Sheltering Sky” is textbook.
King Crimson: Starless And Bible Black
CD Audio I have it ★★★★★
Live in a monolithic studio, of pure and wild avant-garde.
King Crimson: Larks' Tongues in Aspic

With this, my all-time favorite KC era begins. Not that I don’t adore the first fantastic quartet (1969-1971), I want to be clear, but with this and the next two, incredible heights will be reached not just in progressive, which here is abundantly digested and surpassed, but for music as a whole. Total rock, with the best Crimson lineup ever for me. 10/10.

Another beautiful cover, by the way.
King Crimson: Lizard

Magniloquent fairy-tale painting, blending jazz, progressive, and poetry. A masterpiece, for me.
Indefinable, one of the peaks of progressive music as well as the initiator of a genre. Seminal.

I've been listening to it for 3-4 years and only now I've bought the original. :D

this is A MUST HAVE original at all costs. Sometimes I think about grabbing the vinyl, looking at it for 5 minutes, and then putting it back, :D

I feel the same way. There's something magnetic about it that pushes you to do it.

Masterpiece. It might be my favorite by KC along with Red (it's hard for me to choose between the two, I admit).

Uh, for me until Red is all gold. Maybe only Islands will be silver..

Yes, for me it's all good at Thrak :D But we're having the same old talks, now I'm putting on Bel and I'm out of here.

The "mother" of prog, if it weren't for that masterpiece "Valentyne Suite," the eponymous track that gives the album its name, which could make him lose his procreative scepter, as it was "born" a few months earlier than the "big face" and printed about a month beforehand, in that fateful 1969. But then the rest speaks for itself... I bow.

Yes, until recently I only knew this about KC, an album I listened to all winter a few years ago, just this and nothing else... very beautiful, a story of music.
King Crimson: In The Wake Of Poseidon
CD Audio I have it ★★★★
Great album, on the heels of the monolithic debut but more Jazz and experimental. It's the one from the early KC that I listen to "less" (note the quotes), but here too the standout tracks are plentiful: “Cadence and Cascade”, the title track, and the sinister (not coincidentally) and abyssal “The Devil's Triangle” are among the best in their repertoire, for example.
King Crimson: Red
CD Audio I have it ★★★★★
An epochal record, immense, extraordinary, brilliant, insane. Alongside the debut, the best of the Crimson King: a journey through fallen angels, black Bibles, and starless nights. Crazy. Five tracks that made the history of progressive. 10.

Absurd. Far beyond progressive. Incredible sounds, still sounds incredibly modern today, a record light-years ahead.
