Absolute masterpiece! Nine Feet Underground is pure delight!

So wonderfully "British" that it drives me crazy :-)

It had been ages since I last listened to a prog album (excluding Pawn Hearts, which I revisited some time ago), and I must say that what I missed the most was precisely this.

I haven't listened to this in a while either.

Eh, among the cornerstones of the scene, although I’ve always found it boring in the beginning...

I definitely need to listen to it again, too much time has passed. Magnificent album...

Never listened to. I will provide as soon as possible. Are they by any chance similar to the Camels?

I'm not exactly at the levels of Camel, perhaps more pompous, they need to be listened to calmly and attentively; I myself left the CD to gather dust 10 or more years ago...

"I'm not exactly at the level of the Camels, perhaps more pompous" Bah... That's what you say.

It’s my personal opinion; if you don’t like it, disagree or whatever, I don’t care. You’ve had your 4 seconds of fame (you probably want to play the role of the “little professor” or provoke, not having a life), now you can get lost. I’m certainly not going to change my mind just because an idiot like you doesn’t agree.

As for me, they are superior to Camel, refined, imaginative, never showy or excessive, wonderfully romantic and delicate; Richard Sinclair's voice is an exceptional trademark (and yes, some songs by Camel from the '77-'78 period may remind you of Caravan because Sinclair was part of the Camel lineup during that two-year span). This album is perhaps the peak, but the previous and subsequent ones hold their ground. Their debut is also beautiful. A great band, the most romantic, "British," and fairy-tale-like (but perhaps "dreamy" would be a better fit) side of the Canterbury scene, without forgetting the jazzy digressions typical of that scene. "Nine Feet Underground" is the most enjoyable prog suite one can imagine (after "Supper's Ready," but only from my point of view).

I agree with hj all the way, even though I find it hard to say which is superior between the Camel and the Caravan.

Yes, yes, I just wanted to say that I like Caravans even more, but everyone here knows my love for the camel.

I love Camel to bits, but Caravan has something extra on the technical side and a pronounced "jazzy" attitude (and their music is so English...).

The Camels have ended up in the dust just like the Caravans; I should dust them off, I miss those vibes from The Snow Goose.

I absolutely hate that song! Really. But I don't know him well, and your conviction would push me to explore more...
It took me a lifetime to digest it, but it’s worth it. Fuck, is it worth it!!
