I've never listened to it, but I own the vinyl of Sacred Baboon, a great record and an absolute rarity. I'll be getting this one soon as well. Do you know Caverns Of Your Brain by Lift?

I don't know them, Barra, I've seen that they only made this album in '77.

Like the Urfa, they are a magnificent band of Prog Made in USA; the elusive album is from '74 but only in '90 did Syn-Phonic release it on CD. Perhaps it is still possible to download it for free, even in the most recent expanded version called Moments Of Hearing, a title that can only invite listening, and believe me, it's worth it!

It would be nice to have a discussion about late '70s prog made in the USA, a phenomenon that I still haven't quite grasped, between AOR types like Kansas, heavy ones like Rush, original bands like Pavlov's Dog, Urfa, the Lift you mentioned, or clone groups like Starcastle... a world to discover!

Great topic, and so much little-known music. American Prog is generally snubbed, lacking well-defined scenes and periods like in Europe, where imported products were preferred. Many never got a record deal, and the luckiest struggled quite a bit to avoid the mainstream imposed by record labels. I will see about picking up the discussion again soon with a review.
