Peter Gabriel: UP
CD Audio I have it ★★★
The album by PG that I like the least (I obviously set aside the cover album and the pharaonically useless one with the help of the orchestra). I am very attached to the first four works. PG4 above all.

The most influential for sure. The best I'm not sure, maybe I still prefer The Piper by a hair (a hair of Barrett, of course).

I reported the vote you read. I believe the first one is spectacular. This one is slightly lower. So 4.5 repeating...

Zi zi, it sucks :D I was responding more than anything (all together, eh) to urlicht. For me, it's still a solid 5, but those are just details.

@hj. You're right, Piper is an amazing album, five holy balls for sure, thinking that it's from '67, it seems conceived by aliens. Saucerful, though, is more in line with my tastes; it might also be for sentimental reasons, it's the first album I ever heard and bought by the Floyd. You never forget your first love...-)

I, however, am very attached to these first two albums, Meddle and Atom. I’ve always believed – even though they are little gems – that TDSOTM and WYWH are inferior to the four I mentioned. The Wall, perhaps too overrated. And Animals, underrated. This is my opinion. Just to say... But with the Pinks, nothing is discarded. p.s.: From A Momentary... onward, I prefer not to talk about it.

Templa, I agree on EVERYTHING, but really everything. Piper is from 1967, it’s super ahead of its time, but Saucerful, from a certain point of view, is even more ahead (1968, not just yesterday), it gave birth to cosmic music (or at least contributed massively), so much so that it influenced the (extraordinary) German cosmic scene, not small potatoes. Two masterpieces, everything else up to "Animals" is still excellent. The live concert at Pompeii is awesome.

Look, it's like you read my mind. I often say that the sound of the live at Pompeii - and the first vinyl of Ummagumma - I miss it so much. I can't quite explain it, but that rich sound was fantastic.
