Jethro Tull: Minstrel In The Gallery
Vinile I have it ★★★★
...and yet there are still some who define it as "ugly." Oh well...

Clearly, he's someone who doesn't understand anything about music. One of their best. 5 stars...

Is this ugly? But "War Child" isn't UGLY either. This is fabulous, really just a hair's breadth away from the highest rating.

In my opinion, it deserves a spot on the podium, after "Aqualung" and "Thick as a Brick." Tracks like "Cold Wind To Valhalla," "One White Duck / 010 = Nothing At All," and "Black Satin Dancer" are spine-tingling. Besides... it seems unlikely to find one that doesn't measure up on "MITG."

Surely there isn't a track that isn't excellent. Personally, however, I prefer "This Was," "Stand Up," and "Songs From The Wood."

I would also like to mention the final suite Baker St. Muse, which, along with the title track, constitutes the pinnacle of the album, in addition to being a sonic summary of the entire work: divided into four predominantly acoustic parts that are occasionally interrupted by melodic and hard rock breaks... and then those irresistible harmonies... in short, a masterpiece that once again demonstrates how effective the Tull are, especially in the acoustic phase (the style on which the album is centered), which will later be revisited with Too Old... but in a much less effective way. However, I also want to say that for me Warchild is very beautiful and is part of the golden period, just like the band's giants. In fact, for me, their best phase is between '71 and '75, with Aqualung in first place, Tick and Passion tied for second, Minstrel third, and Warchild fourth. There, I've even summoned the kid in me, who enjoyed making rankings years ago, but it's pointless to mention how superfluous that detail is, especially since Stand Up and Songs from the Wood are also five-star albums, so...
