"Yo la Tengo" are absolutely fantastic, go ahead with "I Can Hear the Heart Beating as One," "Painful," and "And Then Nothing Turned Itself Inside-Out." If you like those, check out "May I Sing with Me" and the latest "Popular Songs" as well... in terms of classification, they lean more towards indie-noise-pop than psychedelic, although the lysergic tendency is always present.

zizi, I'm aware, in fact, they're among my next purchases... anyway, thanks anyway :) (I wanted to start precisely from I can hear...)

Yes, indeed, perhaps considering them psychedelic is a bit of a stretch, but I preferred to label them that way.

Anyway, great list! In the '90s, these artists definitely represent peaks in this field, even though the sense of psychedelia is quite widespread in genres like post-rock, noise, drone, slowcore, and more generally in the immense melting pot of alternative.

Thank you so much :) In fact, I was torn about whether to include various groups like Boris or Black Heart Procession, etc. etc.!
