What genre do Wye Oak play?

Indie Rock. The guitarist is really tough.

Anyway, great Portishead who after such a long time are back with an ABSURD album! But do we know if something new is in the works? (Have you heard the album by the solo Gibbons? That one is very beautiful for me too!)

I listened to Wye Oak's latest "Civilian," it's not bad at all. At this point, I'll get "The Knot."

Yes Civilian is their best. The Knot is slightly inferior, definitely less mature.

I'm still curious to listen to it, Civilian made a really good impression on me ;)

Damn it, I forgot about Crimson with their incredibly underrated and fantastic album from 2000.

Stressful day, huh dear Hamburger? Come on, relax, there’s no need to act like that.

If you like the Spits, even though it seems to me that as a genre they have little in common with the others you appreciate, give the Lost Sounds a listen.

But I don't go by genres, I go by music. I enjoy listening to everything as long as it's good. I'll take a look, thank you : )

In my opinion, among the best of the last decade, we definitely have to include at least Broken Social Scene (you forgot it in people - 2002), and even more so Battles (mirrored) and Clouddead (Ten - 2002). The latter is perhaps for me the most significant album of the era.

But do you really think I take advice from someone who praises AC/DC and Iron Maiden and looks down on the Velvet Underground?

It's affection, AC/DC technically suck, and Johnson is an old whore who has been screaming for years. If I hadn't grown up with them, I'd be the first to insult them. Unfortunately, Iron Maiden suck worse than Lou Reed.

That collection by the Theoretical Girls is from the '80s - or at most the late '70s: it was only released posthumously in 2002. One should notice this when listening to it.
