I would put Tito Puente first, I would remove Los Lobos entirely D:

I don't know... Santana is the quintessential Latin music... he managed (unwittingly) to transform pop into Latin music and any music into it... Tito Puente was a great percussionist, probably the greatest... but what he did in the fifties, he did in the nineties... with just a few small modifications and nothing more...

Completely in disagreement, I don't even know whether to consider Latin Santana, I mean, for me Santana is Latin Rock, Fusion (so Jazz fused with any other genre, in this case specifically Latin Rock). Then he has changed a lot musically from the 70s to today; songs like Soul Sacrifice have nothing to do with Just Feel Better, The Game of Love, etc.

It's true! I agree with you on that! However, I want you to understand that Santana with "Just Feel Better," "Smooth," etc., introduced young people to Latin rock, which isn't exactly in those songs (except for "Smooth," which is Latin pop), but in the albums of these songs, there are many Latin tracks... something that Tito Puente didn't do, because having never been commercial (may he be sanctified), he didn't convey anything to young people from the seventies to the nineties...
