I agree with you (the only ones I don't know well are Riverside (I'll make up for it)
The Greeks from "A Tribute to Life" are incredible!!!!!!!!!

Great band Riverside, I recommend them! The Fragile are amazing, Ark are phenomenal.. "Burn The Sun" is one of the best prog albums ever. Dream and Tool need no commentary.

The DT have been great, in fact, truly amazing. Their problem is that the muse stops inspiring you when you want or have to churn out albums like on an assembly line (except for those Martians, the Rush!)...
In the list, I would also include Pain of Salvation.

Well... Personally, I don't hate Dream Theater, but they've never excited me that much: so much technical skill displayed in a sort of competition to see who has the longest dick. I believe Tool are a step ahead, even just for the visual and conceptual art behind them. Their concert is a true orgasm of the senses. This is also prog; everything else is boring.

Do you know Ark, Fragile Vastness, and Riverside? They have very little to do with the word "boredom."

I wasn’t saying that the bands you ranked are boring! My point was more general: I was referring to the fact that prog (at least the classic kind) is not solely a display of technical skill and conservatory studies; there’s a lot of passion behind it, and above all, the ability to convey that passion to the listener. There are albums I could listen to ten times a day, every day of the year, and I’d never get tired of them, while others tire me out quickly because they’re stuffed with technicalities that serve no purpose. And Dream Theater are masters of that latter approach.
