THE REVIEW

Intrigued by the previous album, I did some research and got my hands on this new work by E. et S. What can I say, a pleasant surprise.

The album features only 4 tracks, which, however, follow the lyrical and musical thread of the previous record, almost as if wanting to close a circle.

The atmospheres are very much reminiscent of the '80s electropop mood, with rhythmic references to the never-forgotten Joy Division (especially in the track "l'uomo nuovo").

A separate comment must be made regarding the lyrics, which are very rich and witty, even if difficult to fully grasp on the very first listen.

So what can I say? A fine work for this one-man band that, slowly, is bringing back some sounds that had been lost for too long now.

E. et S. Salon Indien is a 4-track album that successfully builds on the themes of its predecessor. The music evokes '80s electropop, with clear nods to Joy Division. The lyrics stand out for their richness and wit, though they demand attentive listening. This album marks a strong step in the one-man band's effort to revive lost sounds.
