Moreover, from an artist, if I may say so, practically unknown.
A practice not so common here on DeBaser, but certainly better than clogging the site with the usual "Made In Japan": mix the progressive rhythms of the best Tool (Lateralus? Aenima? 10,000 Days? Undertow? OPIATE?!?!?!) with the Deftones of "White Pony" adding a nice dose of harmony and simple yet fitting vocal lines.
Genre?
I don't know and perhaps I'm not even interested, I can only say that this "Prison Self" will remain at the top of my playlist for quite some time, also having as a cherry on top a truly spectacular but unpretentious text and artwork.
I challenge the most educated to decipher whose voice sample is at the beginning (also perfectly fitting), for everyone else simply hungry for good music, download this track, it's available for free download.
