This album proves that Edoardo Bennato is the greatest rock star we have in Italy.
No one like him knows how to own the stage with such mastery, constantly exchanging energy and tension with his audience while also showcasing his skills as an excellent musician. He knows how to walk high on the wire, keeping everyone on the edge of their seats.
The versions of "menomale che adesso non c'è nerone", "cantautore", "il rock di capitano uncino", "nisida" are beautiful; rock seeps from every pore, sweat, and tears; great tension also for another classic "in fila per tre", revisited with a rock twist but without overwhelming the basic structure of the song. There are also "unpublished" tracks: "chissà chissà" (another great rock boost) and "vai milano vai milano", high-voltage rock'n'roll. "una settimana un giorno" with a great guitar solo by the great luciano ninzatti is also worth mentioning.
It's a live album to own for Bennato fans, but also for non-fans who will discover an extraordinary rock star from our own country.
Almost forgot, Edo is still around, and go listen to one of his current concerts with another great band supporting him and he, despite his age, more alive than ever!
