LA RECENSIONE

EDO AVI - Far from Here

Far from Here is the title of the fourth solo album by Edo Avi, a singer and songwriter with a strong pop inclination.

The album is composed of nine intense and fascinating songs:

Dimmi dove sei opens the album with a positive atmosphere but with a melancholic aftertaste, through the style of a very soft rock ballad.

The atmosphere does not change in Sogni, which reflects the spirit of the entire album, through a very introspective, clear, and liberating style.

Portami fuori da qui remains in line with the preceding songs, light in terms of melody but melancholic in terms of the themes addressed, leaving an idea of hope at the end, a possible remedy to all this faint disillusionment.

Volerò and Benvenuta nuova età talk about regrets through two very different styles, the first immediately remedies the problem through the consolations a dreamer can imagine, while the second, in a much softer and more intricate way, finds a solution by seeking new conquests in new obstacles.

The title track addresses the theme of fleeing from everything and everyone, always in a "romantic" key, playing on a very slow and sweet guitar solo and very marked bass lines.

Strade di sogni is perhaps the most pop piece of the album and plays with abstract and pure images, while Vicino o distante is the most aware and disillusioned track.

Finally, Troverai closes the album through a singer-songwriter style, very rhythmic, offering a sense of peace and tranquility with the awareness that one should never give up.
