Eddie Rosner (1910-1976) was a jazz trumpeter celebrated for his virtuosity. He rose to fame in Berlin, worked in Poland and the Soviet Union, was arrested in 1946 and imprisoned in the Gulag, later resumed performing and returned to Berlin in 1974.

Associated with Weintraub's Syncopators in Berlin; nicknamed the "white Louis Armstrong" and "golden trumpet" in contemporary accounts; recorded for labels such as Odeon and Columbia; imprisoned in Lubyanka and sent to labor camps (Magadan/Kolyma) where he led camp ensembles; granted amnesty in the mid-1950s and returned to performance; returned to Berlin in 1974 and died in 1976.
