LA RECENSIONE

Fourth extract from the album Future Past, which will be released in less than a month, Tonight United is the typical Duran Duran song with a catchy chorus and clean melodies. However, the track makes me reflect on what a "colleague" (whose name I can't recall) from Debaser wrote while commenting on one of my reviews: "pure craftsmanship." These first 4 songs, with their ups and downs and except for a few passages, seem to me to be written "without heart," resulting in somewhat flat compositions. It's as if DD entered the studio and set out to write a neat little task. In the production, I see too much participation from Erol Alkan and too little involvement from that genius Mark Ronson. Moreover, speaking of collaborators in the writing of the tracks, in Tonight United I barely feel the influence of Giorgio Moroder.

The review analyzes 'Tonight United', the fourth single from Duran Duran's upcoming album 'Future Past'. Although the song features catchy melodies and a clean chorus, it feels somewhat uninspired and lacks emotional engagement. The reviewer notes heavy influence from producer Erol Alkan and misses the presence of Mark Ronson and Giorgio Moroder in the production.
