It starts with a butt, but the problem is on the opposite side; Edo will carry it with him for many years until it begins to deeply and painfully mark his entire adolescent life.
Until he gathers his courage and, driven by his first real disappointment on the field, he manages to come out to his family (who welcomes him), his friend (who teases him good-naturedly), and to his "forever" love who, maybe, will wait for him.
But true love probably lies elsewhere, more within reach and more sincere.
You won't laugh, nor will you cry; it's just ordinary life, and the only moral to draw from it is to have the courage to stick your head out of the window and be yourself.
A pleasant and unforced story, to the point that in the end, it seems almost "unacted" but simply captured as it unfolded. For me, that's not a small thing.
