One deeply enthusiastic review crowns Doris Duke’s I’m a Loser as a deep-soul landmark. The piece hails the Swamp Dogg–guided writing and Duke’s intense, southern-tinged vocals. Themes of heartbreak and romantic despair run through the album, with standouts like To The Other Woman and Feet Start Walking.
