THE REVIEW

Interesting experiment of a '80s style concept album (in the vein of Misplaced Childhood by Marillion) by this brilliant darkwave artist from Milan.

Each track is connected to the next by snippets from old radios of various origins: England, Argentina, France. There is something for everyone, but it is precisely the "taste" that is decadent, delicate, and exceedingly elegant, that ties these little jewels together. The album is divided into 2 parts, held together by an intro and an interlude (the filtered piano on a '50s valve radio, amidst pouring rain and distant traffic, is splendid).

The first section, Anelli, contains the 4 songs included in the eponymous promo released last year. The tracks have been re-recorded, remixed, and most notably rearranged in a prog-dark tone, with a hypnotic-convulsive continuity effect.

The second part, Altri Incubi, is perhaps more powerful than the first but more fragmented in terms of logical continuum.

Nonetheless, they are authentic gems, from the Fame flavored like Hanging Garden and One Hundred Years by the Cure, to that Corrosione which carries through psychedelic sensations.

A work with varied flavors, elegant and intriguing. Beautiful.
