Donny Hathaway (October 1, 1945 – January 13, 1979) was an American soul singer, pianist, songwriter and arranger, known for his solo recordings and duets with Roberta Flack. He is celebrated for his expressive voice, gospel influence and landmark albums of the early 1970s.

Notable songs and recordings include "A Song for You", "Where Is the Love" (with Roberta Flack), and "Someday We'll All Be Free". Hathaway died in January 1979; his death was a suicide by falling from a hotel window in New York.
