LA RECENSIONE

Maybe it was because I was 16 back then (1975), but the first time I heard her I fell in love with her voice; she could have had the face of an old woman, I would have loved her all the same. No other Italian female voice has left such an indelible mark on me, and it still happens today when I listen to “A Puddara è un vulcano”. Her crystal-clear sound soars in serene skies, it creates hope; we find her again (how could it not be so) in Rocchi's masterpiece “Volo magico n°1”. “Forget”, “Regina a questa età”, “Fratello Antonino”, songs that travel through space and time―her time was short, leaving us at only 45 years old.
