Fresh off the press, or rather I think it's not yet available in record stores outside of Norway (the record label, Smalltown Superjazzz, seems to be Norwegian, which would explain everything). I bought it here in Bergen only because they thoughtfully stuck a tag on the case with the names of the band members: Thurston Moore(!), Jim O'Rourke(!), and Mats Gustafsson(?). Otherwise, I wouldn't have considered it; or maybe I would have listened to it first. And, well, that might have been better.
Or maybe not, who knows: if I find the courage to listen to it again, I might even change my mind, but for now, the temptation is to forget it.

In short, free jazz, musical experimentation, and exploration are all well and good; but I really struggled to listen to part of the first track (about half) and I confess that I refused to enlighten the second (and last) one with the laser of my niece's portable player. For fear of ruining it for her.

Sorry guys, I usually listen to everything (and I can't even leave the cinema, even if the movie is a colossal flop); but not this time.
Is it age?
