DIPLOMATICS - I LOST MY SOUL IN THIS TOWN

(Shyrec and Godown Records)

I Lost My Soul In This Town, the second album by Diplomatics, a well-known rock band from Vicenza, will see the light in February 2017.

The album title aims to express the creative obstacle encountered in areas such as those in the northeast of Italy, industrial zones, areas of empty and decaying urban centers, areas where the only creed is money. In such areas, developing a creative soul is difficult, and this theme is very dear to the band, as can be inferred in "Lost in town".

Opposing this feeling is the other side of the Diplomatics, perfectly expressed in "Love boat", that is, the love for parties and celebrations. We can pair this with other songs, such as: "Sunshine glow", "Nothing but you", and "Fill it up"; a series of love songs, ranging from the truest and most painful love to the most passionate love of a wild night.

"Hey loser, you poser!" is dedicated to the many young people who are too focused on image, slaves to social media and their narcissism.

"Today" instead aims to represent the sense of emptiness given by being creatures of habit. Through the ten tracks that make up the album, the band experiments and ranges from classic rock sounds (Rolling Stones) to more punk styles, even reaching soul and R&B sounds.
