Simply unique. The band was still in its early stages, of course. The sound will surely be perfected with the next two discs (and completely ruined with Green Mind, a.k.a. the most overrated grunge album in history). The sound is noisy, raw, and, in a way, also avant-garde. Definitely not the band's best (in fact, the one I like the least among their early works), but it remains a colossal "half-masterpiece" of noise rock music and a certain type of hardcore punk/post-hardcore.

It starts very well with a simply MONSTROUS Bulbs Of Passion, very raw. Then the album continues with this Forget The Swan which is still a bomb live today, after practically 35 years. And then there are other incredible tracks like Gargoyle, Does It Float, Pointless and Mountain Man, finally ending with Quest, a splendid track.

A more than well-deserved 9!

It’s impossible not to appreciate the ingenuity, talent, quality, and humor abundantly flowing from all the tracks.

Even perhaps the album’s weakest track, the somber 'Gargoyle,' suddenly transforms into a short but splendid psychedelic groove.
