THE REVIEW

During the solo tour linked to the previous work, dated 2010 and entitled "La Vita è Breve e Spesso Rimane Sotto," Dino Fumaretto (alias Elia Billoni in the municipal registry) wisely decided to recover and analyze his old songs, discarded and left in the drawer because they were deemed too sparse and even more disarming than those included in the debut album. The good Dino concluded to get back to working on these pieces.

Dino's first analysis was a deep inner examination, included in the track that closes the album and gives the title to the album, featuring arrangements by the talented Bolognese artist "Iosonouncane." "I suddenly got old. I got old and didn’t realize it. I dreamed of being in a madhouse but realized I wasn’t crazy. I just aged quickly."

Fumaretto, to continue reassembling his dreams, could do nothing but contact his official and favorite interpreter: Elia Billoni.

A painful, dark album that thematically does not veer from the previous debut album but marks a definite step forward for the artist from Mantua. The lyrics, diffused between dream and reality, are less fragmented and now are reinforced by the ever-present piano, as well as by more complex and harmonic music. Among the most significant tracks is "Mente Spostata," chosen as a single, based on captivating and rapid musical rhythms that pretend to offer a cheerful piece, contrary, revealing the exact opposite. "Insonnia" is a classic and alienating thought of the man who cannot rest, envious knowing that everyone around him is doing so and wishing them the worst anxieties.

Interesting is the rooster's connection at the end of the track, serving as an alarm clock for the next track titled... "Risvegli," and of the alienated and heart-wrenching man who, upon waking, does not find what he expects from his reality. "Una Vacanza" is a noir melody, complete with an initial whistle, truly captivating, describing the existential suffering of overly present and pulsing thoughts or moods in one's mind. Better to go on vacation! "Il Nuovo Che Avanza," another most excellent piece, is the heartfelt desire to improve and not wait for everything to flow by itself. Meanwhile, others move forward.
