There is culture in here. But not that lofty and arid culture that you often encounter in our schools. It is a simple and intelligent culture that arises from curiosity, from the desire to learn from true masters, and from always wanting to delve deeper into topics and events.

Probably living in a village of two hundred souls allows you to take it more reflectively, to better filter what you get from the media, and to understand what the best things are without any kind of conditioning.

Diego is like that; just a chat with him is enough to realize it. A well of wisdom and love for art and beauty in music.

His lyrics tell the story of a person with great maturity, who does not stop at appearances but digs deep into the soul. This is striking, given his very young age.

There is depth in Diego, whether he talks about friends who are no longer with us, as in “Ti rivedrò tornare”, or pays homage to the great Songwriters (strictly with a capital “S”!) like Fabrizio De André from “Genova” or Francesco De Gregori from “Giorno di pioggia”, or discusses major tragedies that have marked our recent history. “Un sasso in un bicchiere” tells us how Italian history is often dotted with disasters too often classified as “unpredictable” rather than verifying the responsibilities.

Some call him “rap”, but in reality, he is much more. Diego also has a singer-songwriter style, but with extreme originality and with melodies that pleasantly nestle in the ear.

You can trust such a talent.
