Diabolatry
Eternal Excruciation

There is not much information about the Diabolatry project, except that it is a one-man band founded by an American musician credited as Profanation of Deity, already active in numerous practically unknown underground projects.

In June 2025, the first release under this moniker, "Eternal Excruciation", was independently released and is credited by The Metal Archives as an EP, but in reality, its length is that of a full-length album (a hefty 44 minutes).

"Eternal Excruciation" is an extremely anachronistic product, in which the American offers us a primordial form of extreme music at the crossroads between Thrash—with Speed retracings—and Black metal. It bears some resemblance to the very early Bathory and Hellhammer, but also to the dawn of the Germanic thrash Sacred triad. However, all this is pushed to the extreme by the typical grammars of the second wave black flame, rendered in an extremely crude manner in the vein of certain Nifelheim, Bewitched, or Abigail; and delving even further into the paroxysmal paths of Bestial/War metal where the extremely lo-fi production, the sense of urgency—here a certain hardcore nuance is quite audible—and the essential and noisy black/death dynamics may, in part, be likened to names like Blasphemy, Black Witchery, or Revenge.

From albums like "Eternal Excruciation" one should not expect too much, other than a sonic assault with no holds barred. The entire tracklist is built around furious speed with sporadic slowdowns. Nevertheless, the music contained in these six tracks is truly enjoyable, as Profanation always manages to insert the right spark: a catchy vocal line, a riff that hooks you immediately, or some piercing light melody that breaks and softens the wall of steel.
