Harald Nævdal, known as Demonaz, co-founded Immortal, served as guitarist and lyricist, was forced to stop playing guitar due to acute tendonitis around 1997, and released the solo album March of the Norse in 2011.

Prominent guitarist and lyricist on Immortal's early albums (including Pure Holocaust, Battles in the North, Blizzard Beast). Diagnosed with acute tendonitis during Blizzard Beast era and ceased guitar duties; continued to write lyrics. Solo album March of the Norse released in 2011; guitars on that album were played by Ice Dale and it was released on Nuclear Blast (as noted in reviews).

Demonaz (Harald Nævdal) is best known as co-founder, guitarist and lyricist of Immortal. Tendonitis ended his guitar career around 1997; he continued writing lyrics. In 2011 he released the solo album March of the Norse, a viking metal record produced by Nuclear Blast. Reviews call the album a modest but pleasant return, noting some monotony and a 3/5 rating.
