Death In June -The Wall Of Sacrifice
nightmare album, terrifying. I listened to it for the first time in 1998. It must be a coincidence, but since then I went out of my mind! more
Massimo Bubola
One of the most underrated Italian artists, a great poet, an excellent interpreter, and the author of some of the most beautiful Italian songs of the last 30 years. more
Fucked Up
They spoke to me in messianic tones about this bunch. I ran to get their "David Comes To Life" and I didn’t understand... and to this day I still don’t understand the reason for all that enthusiasm, even from the critics. Maybe it’s just me, but 18 tracks where you can't tell one song from another... all the same. It sounds to me like they wanted to make some sort of personal "Zen Arcade," but who knows... the comparison is just nonexistent. Maybe it's just me... but these FUCKERS don’t say much to me... more
Current 93 -Nature Unveiled
the quintessence of the black mass more
Bob Dylan
As far as I'm concerned, it could have stopped at Highway 61 Revisited and a minimum of 4 stars were guaranteed. If we then add the monumental Blonde on Blonde, Bringing It All Back Home, Blood on the Tracks, Basement Tapes and the others, a 5 is personally mandatory. Well, he’s made some bad albums too... but damn, Blonde on Blonde! more
Oasis
I've always found them annoying, what can I do... more
Cromagnon
"Orgasm" is quite original for being from 1969. more
Ozric Tentacles
Their music is a continuous psychedelic trip. It's a shame that not all of their albums are of high quality. more
Nirvana
All I need to remember is a date: November 17, 1991, Bloom in Mezzago, near Milan. A venue literally set ablaze by the shockwave of the three guys from Seattle, when Kurt was still able to keep his inner demons hidden. ONE OF THE CONCERTS OF MY LIFE... Five stars and forever!!! more
Hugo Race + True Spirit
On paper, it has everything to appeal to me. However, upon listening, it doesn't excite me that much. more
Fabio Fazio e Luciana Litizzetto
...and do we also pay the fee? more
Rory Gallagher
Besides the technical and creative qualities that we all acknowledge (or not?), hats off for having turned down the Rolling Stones. more
Wu-Tang Clan
Bring da motherfuckin' ruckus more
Tenhi
Beautiful, crystal-clear, and poignant art from the Great North more
Edgar Allan Poe
Paranoid delusions of a singer of apocalyptic and morbid visions, metaphors of the darkest and most hidden tunnels of the psyche, fear and madness rise swiftly from the depths of the irrational abyss we thought would never surface, only to emerge and unleash all their annihilating potential. more
Various Artists -20 Years of Dischord
fundamental. I would say that in 3 CDs there's all the American hardcore. It goes up to 2002, but five stars is even too little. From Fugazi to Slant 6 (!), a must-have. more
Alice in Chains
I have always preferred Mudhoney and Soundgarden (as well as Pearl Jam and Nirvana), without ever understanding the true reason. Layne's dramatic, heart-wrenching voice remains unmatched, just like their Unplugged...Down In A Hole... more
The Gathering -How To Measure A Planet?
The Dutch band reaches a turning point with this work, unexpectedly; after their previous two albums, "Mandylion" and "Nighttime Birds", clearly marked by a Gothic Metal style, they courageously decide to change course. Thus arriving at a double album where the sound is an enchanting Progressive Rock, with psychedelic inserts of mesmerizing quality; long, reflective songs, tranquil in their sinuous, harmonious flow. "Great Ocean Road," "Rescue Me," "Travel"; up to the endless title track... ASTRALI... more
Griffin
Old-school heavy metal with decidedly epic tones. more
Om
Those who hum "Aum Trayambakam Yajamahe Sugandhim Pushtivardhanam Urva Rukamiva Bandhanaan Mrityor Mokshiye Maamritat" are probably due to the illogical amounts of THC absorbed over the years. more
