Forty minutes for eleven tracks: music that overwhelms the listener, played by the trio with the force of a massive hurricane. Hard, heavy sounds, delivered with wild punk energy; the sermon opens with "Ace of Spades" and concludes with "Motorhead," passing by the ferocious "Overkill" and "Bomber." A streetwise album, suited for brawling, rough, dirty, drunken bikers: instinct and rage...GRANITE... more
Difficult, when defining David, not to fall into banality and rhetoric; so I want to be very banal by saying that the final guitar solo of the song "Comfortably Numb" is... I'll stop here, smiling. more
Less than 5 is impossible for me for this album; a perfect work, excellent in the "ballad" moments, simply irresistible and uncontrollable in the numerous fast parts. Anderson and his flute are orgasmic, but shall we talk about Barre's solo on "We Used to Know"? Rock, Blues, Hard-Blues and even a bit of "British" Folk. Masterpiece. more

Just unpacked about an hour ago, I need to really tune in since I'm not used to this genre, which left me a bit confused after the first listen, but I'm getting used to it with the second, like when you walk into a movie theater on a sunny August Sunday and can’t see a thing... for now, 3.5, and then we'll see. more
A guitar god, astonishing, one of the few artists worthy of being defined in such a way. more
Stefano "Edda" Rampoldi, singer of Ritmo Tribale; after leaving the Milanese group, he withdraws from the music world for about a dozen years, returning in 2009 with this first solo work. An essential album: just voice, acoustic guitar, and little else; heartfelt songs, steeped in pain, that lay bare his problems, his fears, his dramas. I picture him sitting on a chair, with the guitar, in an empty room; while a blood-red dawn heralds a serene, clear day... more

A few simple words to describe their 1969 masterpiece, MAGNIFICO, in every way... atmospheres, instrumental skills, McShee with her wonderful voice, lyrics inspired by Arthur, the Middle Ages, ancestral times... more
Los Angeles band formed in 2008 from the meeting between guitarist Scott Holiday and vocalist Jay Buchanan, often referred to as the new Led Zeppelin (a comparison that is quite exaggerated at this point...). They are the creators of at least a couple of excellent albums, such as "Pressure & Time" from 2011, whose cover was designed by the legendary designer Storm Thorgerson, already famous for his work with Pink Floyd, and the latest "Great Western Walkyrie" from this year. more
In the eighties/nineties, it was easy to liken the career of Kina, who hailed from Aosta, to that of the Turin-based Negazione: the same strict musical discipline, self-production, absolute independence in everything. The Husker Du of our mountains...EMPTY ROADS... more
A British pop/psychedelic band active for a few years between the '60s and '70s, they were the creators of at least a couple of excellent works, such as their glorious debut from 1967, "We Are Ever So Clean," a forgotten gem of great beauty, with a refined style and tremendous imagination, containing their most famous single, "Look At Me, I'm You"... more
Born from the ashes of the "Sparrow," the Canadians move to California where their original rock-blues blends with the psychedelic ferment of San Francisco in '67. Monarch's sharp, acid guitar perfectly integrates with Goldy McJohn's "cavernous" organ and the voice of the charismatic leader John Kay, Canadian but of Teutonic origins, creating excellent albums and great singles... more

Giving a 1 to the Stones for their age is more ridiculous than Mick Jagger bouncing around like a monkey on stage at 72. more
A great one from 70 to 75 musically speaking (from the eponymous to Captain Fantastic) damned ingrates, if we were to judge by the vices that artists have, we would have no more art!! But if we judge by the works they have created, well, Elton in these 5 years has earned the title of pop rock artist in every sense. more
