Your nasal voice and the harmonica excite me... You are one of a kind, Stan!! more
Group founded by Randy Craig Wolfe "California" (nickname given by Jimi Hendrix who wanted him in his band). Talented guitarist. more
Post-rock almost exclusively instrumental with remarkable dynamism; a sound that unfolds through long “rising” tracks where many passages evoke the more evocative and dark Isis of "Oceanic" and "Panopticon." Their self-titled album from 2011 is explosive in building powerful, enveloping, contemplative soundscapes... INVISIBLE GIANTS... more
Great debut for Latimer's band, Burdens, and company, a bit "raw" compared to future works like "Mirage" or "Moonmadness" but polished, well-crafted, and featuring gems like "Mistic Queen" or "Arubaluba"... more
Dismal, unsettling, profound, a gloomy and diabolical atmosphere... a personal tribute to one of the greats of blues, "The Wolf" Chester Burnett. Excellent work by the "sorcerer" Campbell, master of the slide and a prominent figure in recent blues... more
After his experience with the Spirits, the young Randy California launches a new interesting project with the godfather and drummer Ed Cassidy and bassist Larry "Fuzzy" Knight. The result: a great album of covers/original songs, which didn’t receive much acclaim from critics but showcases all the excellent qualities of the musicians... more
Four stage animals, seven tracks that encapsulate grit, energy, and ferocity... great rock, in short... more

I wonder why there are almost never definitions for artists of this caliber. more
An elegant guitarist with great melodic taste, let’s say a bit too much of a stickler for me from a certain point in his career onward. But he played the guitar on "Saucerful of Secrets," and excuse me if that’s not a big deal. more
Play the guitar like David Gilmour more
To define it as Trash is, in my opinion, incorrect; trash is the irrational tackiness dumped by the tons in the face of the astonished viewer just to amaze them. The character of Ziggy Stardust might seem like this at first glance, but it's too well crafted, and there has been too much work behind it for it to be so. One of my favorite albums and, in my opinion, one of the most brilliant creations ever. more
The 1982 debut for Discharge, an authentic musical legend of English hardcore; a dangerous, transgressive sound, with lyrics that heavily lash out against everything and everyone, especially the political world. Pioneers of the next step that would lead to the birth of the Grindcore movement, with the arrival of fellow countrymen Napalm Death and Carcass. A raw, ferocious album like few others for a "No Future" generation that seeks to unleash their anger in tracks like "Protest and Survive." more
And even here, the vote isn’t for him (who is somewhat/sympathetic, original here and there, but ultimately, he’s little more than a somewhat/jerk) but for all those who worship him. more
Initiators and godfathers of the New York Hardcore scene; their debut "Victim in Pain" from 1984, eleven tracks in just over fifteen minutes, a devastating example of their searing violence, both sonic and physical...UNITED AND STRONG... more
