Black Sabbath
Probably the only metal band that I hold in high regard. Huge and seminal. more
Flying Colors
Maybe I'm cursing... but for me, they could be considered the new Supertramp, although the sound is quite different! In fact, their sound is a rather light and catchy pop-rock with sporadic prog incursions characterized by a decidedly elegant touch that is never "rough"; they are simply marked by a greater hard and blues vein. In any case, a band with a fresh, personal, and decidedly non-derivative sound, to me is far from a commercial move! more
Nickelback
Let's be objective... they are not a great band, they are also a working-class group that knows how to do well what they do, little technique, little variety, good energy. But I enjoy listening to them, they still have good melodies. In my opinion, they are the last true embodiment of the concept of pure rock'n'roll; what makes them somehow interesting is the extreme nonchalance with which they alternate hard and soft tracks, as well as the fact that even when they veer towards alternative metal (or the grunge of their early days) or towards pop, they manage to remain tremendously and classically rock'n'roll. A band to listen to without too many mental gymnastics and prejudices! more
U2
the best band from who knows which years more
Black Sabbath -Forbidden
Oh my God. There's a song here where Ice-T's appearance is the best part. Then they imitate hair metal like Warrant, their past selves from a few years ago, the thrash metal of Metallica. It follows with a tear-jerking ballad that is boring and some not awful but trivial tracks, among which stands out a Rusty Angels that borders on embarrassment. more
Ivan Graziani -Agnese dolce Agnese
Unlike others, he was truly underestimated. more
David Bowie -Heathen
Neither beautiful nor ugly more
Fabrizio De André -Creuza de mä
Even an artist of David Byrne's caliber has included it among his favorites... more
Rod Stewart -Every Picture Tells A Story
So Rod was "baking" some nice records then... well, let's leave it at that... more
Lou Reed -Rock'n'roll Animal
If only there were more live shows like this... It's a shame about the duration. more
David Bowie -Let's Dance
For some, it is a misstep... I don't agree... more
Frank Zappa -Zoot Allures
We remain up high... more
Frank Zappa -Hot Rats
Sensational in every way (even the cover...). more
Lou Reed -Transformer
Simple, direct songs, never trivial... more
The Velvet Underground -The Velvet Underground & Nico
1967... the drugs back then were great... oh yes, it was really a "discone"!!! more
