I Ride are one of the biggest groups in shoegaze, the English psychedelia that, between the late 80s and early 90s, blended noise-rock distortions, spacey sounds, and sweet, dreamy melodies. A more muscular and rhythmic approach set them apart from the rest of the scene, to which they infused alternative dance sounds and a distinct pop flair.
