Only one album released in 1983 by this band, which could rely on the partnership of Robert Smith and Steven Severin. Dark Wave, Gothic Rock, with a rich sprinkle of Electronics... PUNISH ME WITH KISSES... more
The year is 1977: we are in the midst of a revolution when it comes to Music: Punk has exploded everywhere. The Pink Floyd themselves are in turmoil: Roger's desire to take control of lyrics and music begins to manifest. Animals thus represents the band's last cohesive album, with David's guitar being incisive and spectacular in the endless tracks that compose a work of not simple assimilation, claustrophobic, obsessive...DOGS... more
Huge, I just don't understand the stubbornness about Damaged. The BF also encompass the anger and pain of My War, the jabs of Loose Nut, the avant-gardes of Family Man and The Process Of Wedding Out: in my opinion, they have represented one of the best evolutions in the rock field, often changing style but never at the expense of quality. more
I have seen tree spirits, ridden unicorns, faced dragons, crossed plains and forests, wielded shining blades... it was the beginning of a legend...
Power Speed Fantasy Metal! (Let no one use the word Epic though, eh... in that case I might get angry and lay down the emerald sword to behead you with a double-headed axe!) more
For many, a masterpiece; I'm not crazy about it. The NWOBHM style proposed is very reminiscent of Judas Priest, which distances itself from the atmospheres of the debut, later returning with The Number of the Beast (adopting a heavier style). A nice experiment that I've always somewhat discredited (not because it's bad, but for sounding "vaguely Maiden"). more
Twilight. Darkness descends to subjugate the lost listener, the same one who calls for the voice of the prophet, to be guided through the grim lands of this dark dimension...
Inferior to the debut, but still a masterpiece. This is the album that marks the entrance of the Messiah (Marcolin) on vocals: it doesn't get more epic-domm than this! more
The quintessential manifesto of doom metal and also one of the most beautiful albums of all time.
Epic, Metallic, Destiny... more
I would recommend to some ungrateful person down here to consider that Pino has played with Wayne Shorter, Chick Corea, Mike Manieri, Gato Barbieri, Joe Bonamassa, Tullio de Piscopo, Eric Clapton, etc., Pino has given his best in his first twenty years like all the greatest artists. For me, Pino, at his level, was comfortably one of the best guitarists, artists in blues and world music on a global scale, and anyway in his genre and style, he is unique and unrepeatable. more
A rare example of consistency, honesty, and commitment. more
A horrifying sound quality, grating noises, and with the first listen (especially at high volume) you risk wrecking your auditory system, yet I don’t know, it fascinates me and I partly consider it a good album. more
Some of the best records of Italian rock, especially "Le radici e le ali" and "Storie d'Italia", but the rest is no joke either. more
Short songs but they're little gems more
The internal feud left a deep mark: Max leaves the group, leaving what remains of Sepultura in very troubled waters. An album I bought upon its release with a lot of perplexity and doubt; a quick listen was enough for me to understand two things: 1) album to sell as soon as possible (which I eventually did); 2) the band has no reason to exist anymore, at least as far as I'm concerned. I don't even remember the title of a single song, given such emptiness. more
NIRVANA, FOO FIGHTERS, Probot, Them Crooked Vultures, and numerous other appearances... What more do you want from him??? more
Tokarev rightfully ranks among the biggest Hollywood disasters ever seen. Paolo Cabezas, remember this name and skip it forever. more
What can we say about Marino and Sandro Severini and their band? I’ll be clichéd, very clichéd, but it’s only right this time: the Clash of Italy; nothing more...THE ROOTS AND THE WINGS... more
Applause for Fibra, ready set go... who knows how much longer he'll stop doing nonsense... more
Unlike Keanu Reeves, who always plays the same character (Neo and Constantine are practically identical), he is truly versatile: Edward Scissorhands, Jack Sparrow, the Mad Hatter, etc... more
A record like this leaves behind 3/4 of the prog scene of the nineties. Too complex at a compositional level to be immediately absorbed, it demands an effort that is, however, amply rewarded. For lovers of Rio or the Canterbury scene. more
Well, it’s still a great role-playing game. Personally, I’ve never been able to stand the overwhelming dominance of the G.F.s; I preferred the other chapters because the triad of magic/summons/physical attacks was more balanced. In this case, the Guardian Forces are treated like they’re Pokémon! You raise them, heal them, teach them abilities, etc...
The world’s topography is excellent, but it doesn’t hold up in comparison to the other chapters for PS1. more
