Jimi Hendrix
I’m becoming more and more convinced of my belief: "If Jimi were still alive, he would be the boss of the kings of Rock." more
Whitesnake -Whitesnake
Known also as "1987," this album is considered by everyone to be the pinnacle of Whitesnake's discography. For me, it falls just a bit short of "Saints," but the work is of undeniable quality... From "Still of The Night" (with clear references to Led Zeppelin) to "You’re Gonna Break My Heart Again" (not included in all versions), the record is a pleasure to listen to. A note of disappointment for the reworkings of "Crying in the Rain" and "Here I Go Again," as the originals remain the best. more
Whitesnake -Saints And Sinners
It's probably their best work, at least for me... Among the tracks, the original versions of "Crying In The Rain" and "Here I Go Again" stand out (which I definitely prefer over the subsequent reworkings)... The title track, "Young Blood," "Victim Of Love," etc., are also very beautiful; in short, it's an amazing album! more

Maroon 5
A group that has created fresh and accessible music for everyone. One of the many things that were missing in the world of music. more

Things, Fear? Fear is the greatest feeling, the one that guards us all within the feeling of sex; SEX. Hate things? Hate is first transmitted by JIMI Morrison in the lyrics of The End. Anger things?? Anger is the hatred that degrades into hate. Poetry things?? Poetry is sex, hatred fused together. more

Piero Ciampi -Piero Ciampi
One of the highest peaks of "Italian songwriting": 14 songs written with the heart on the sleeve, dripping with tears, loneliness, and failure. Gianni Marchetti's eclectic arrangements deserve at least a mention. more
Mark Arm
Author, together with his "twin" Steve Turner, of that dirty and raw guitar sound in Mudhoney; with the addition of his caustic and raspy voice. A completely underground and unconventional figure...SUCK YOU DRY... more
Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds -The firstborn is dead
Subjectively, it's the pinnacle of Cave's career.
Post scriptum: "Knockin' on Joe" is immense in its despair with no way out. more
Klaus Meine
Good singer, but that accent is unbearable. more

Aerosmith -Permanent Vacation
Let's start by saying that the rating is a 5-, because after all, there are a few minor tracks... However, our artists gift us pearls like "Rag Doll," "Dude (Looks Like A Lady)," "Angel," the title track, plus various highly enjoyable pieces like "Magic Touch," "Simoriah," "Heart Done Time"... The band maintained their inspiration at its peak even in subsequent releases, publishing two more gems like "Pump" and "Get a Grip." more
Aerosmith -Get your Wings
Definitely a more mature band on this album. The record is really well played and sung, but it lacks the "Mama Kin" of the situation, or "Dream On" ("Seasons Of Wither??) maybe... For this reason, I feel the debut remains slightly superior, but it's definitely a great album... more
Lynyrd Skynyrd -Pronounced Leh-' Nerd' Skin-' Nerd'
If there's a Lynyrd album that I feel deserves a perfect score, it's "Pronounced". An exceptional debut, a handful of really great songs ("Poison Whiskey" is one of my favorites) and three masterpieces ("Tuesday's Gone," "Simple Man," and "Free Bird") blending Southern, Blues, and Rock'n roll. Beautiful, let's say a solid 4.5 rounded up. I couldn't find the "magic" of this album in the following ones, which, while still good, just don't match it. more
David Ackles
Great American singer-songwriter, among the most original of his generation. "American Gothic" is a masterpiece, but the other three are excellent as well. To be rediscovered. more
