Absolutely fantastic as Dalla's backing band on his "historic" albums and live ("Banana Republic" is a solid testament to that). Cool solo artists in the '80s, at least until Ricky Portera's departure; afterwards, there was an increasingly felt shift towards a more professional pop-rock sound, but still, we could use more of that in Italy today. Winning Sanremo, no matter how much credibility the Festival might have in 2016, is a seal on 30 years of honorable career.
