The only living genius of pop music. But it’s not for everyone. To appreciate Donald's music (along with the late Becker in Steely Dan), you have to arrive there after listening to many songs, musicians, and different genres. He is the perfect synthesis of all of it, at the highest levels, including production. And just to be clear, if it doesn’t “click” for you, it’s not his fault. Study music, composition, harmony, and melodic lines. Try to learn to play one or more instruments (listen to the virtuosity of the best soloists), not to mention the lyrics in RIMA, stunningly ambiguous, cryptic for those who can’t grasp or don’t want to delve deeper. If and when you get to choose to listen to him, an excellent pair of headphones is a must (to appreciate every instrument and nuance), and you will understand the astonishing uniqueness; you will be lost forever. But it's always better than being dead from ignorance, stuck between Trap, Hip hop, and Reggaeton. Well, friends, if you don’t like it, what can I say, enjoy the summer hits. Or maybe you just don’t have good taste... No offense, eh.
